April Erickson is a local Minneapolis, MN Artist and Art Teacher.  She is a 1999 Graduate of the University of Minnesota Moorhead.  Her degrees obtained are a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Art Education.  She received a Masters of Art in Education and Certification in Urban Education from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN in 2010.  She has been teaching Art in Public Schools for twenty-one years and offers private art lessons in her NE Minneapolis studio.  She exhibits her personal work at art shows, local venues, galleries, and sells direct from her studio in the Northrup King Building.  Erickson has developed a simplistic line style in her paintings that flows across the canvas and resembles stained glass.  This unique style of reducing images to lines with vibrant colors offers a gorgeous reflection into how she views the world around her.  She has developed a portfolio of work that we know can only be produced by the hand of Artist April Erickson.
