Atelier & Stone

Atelier & Stone comprises the work of contemporary jewelry designer Louise Payjack-Guillou. ‘Atelier’; meaning workshop; is a nod to her dual French-English heritage. ‘Atelier’ and the handmade process is central to her ethos as an artist; this is the place that imagination and materials join together to be shaped by her hands into wearable art.

As an artist she enjoys playing with texturing techniques to create surface decoration. Patterns are formed by hammering, rolling, pressing and manipulating antiques & found objects; using wax and metal to record their impressions. Her jewelry is elegant & simple; pops of colour from rose cut stones join textured elements in clean modern forms designed to be worn as everyday luxury.
