My drawings are hard lines with loose scribbly marks. A big part of my drawing style came from my messy handwriting. I try to make them a mix of scribbly marks that are also descriptive lines. I try not to get too tight with my line work. I like it when it is clear that a human hand drew this with a physical pen.
I think of my drawing as traps for ideas. Animals doing human stuff such as a cat firefighter, or a hula hooping bear. Or a bear water skiing. These ideas are important because it gives people a way of expressing joy.
Printmaking, especially on t-shirts, is a great way for me to share my drawings. My work is accessible to so many people and I get to share bears with so many people.
